MY STORY

Early in my career, I believed success in management was about results. Hit the target. Deliver the numbers. Keep moving.

 

What I didn’t understand then, and learned the hard way, is this:

       

          Results come from people...

          And people perform at their best when trust is high.

 

Like many managers, I was promoted because I was good at my job. Not because I’d been trained to lead people. Overnight, I was responsible for performance, difficult conversations, team dynamics, and pressure from above — all at once.

 

I made mistakes. I avoided difficult conversations. I focused on results at the expense of relationships. I thought that because I was communicating, I was building trust. I wasn’t.

 

Over time, one thing became undeniable: trust is the foundation of great leadership — and almost nobody teaches it.

 

         When trust improves, conversations improve.

         When conversations improve, relationships improve.

         When relationships improve, performance improves.

 

That’s why I created Trust Coach.
